The Rovos Rail itinerary from Victoria Falls to the Hwange National Park takes guests on a luxurious journey through some of the most scenic landscapes in Africa. On the first day, guests depart from Victoria Falls Station and enjoy dinner in the dining cars en route to Malindi. Passports are collected by the Train Manager or Administration Deputy. The second day starts with a continental breakfast before a game drive at The Hide in Hwange National Park. The train then travels through the world's longest stretches of straight railway line, passing by Bulawayo, the second city of Zimbabwe. After lunch, guests can enjoy tea in the observation cars while the train travels through baobab country. Dinner is served in the dining cars as the train heads towards the border at Beitbridge. Dress code for both dinners is formal.

The Rovos Rail journey continues on Day 3, as guests enjoy a leisurely day on board. Breakfast is served until 10:00 am, while the train crosses the Limpopo River to Musina. Lunch is served in the dining cars as the train crosses the Tropic of Capricorn, followed by tea in the observation cars as it passes through Warmbaths and Nylstroom. Guests will also pass the edge of the escarpment, where the Highveld drops precipitously. Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Pyramid, with a formal dress code. On Day 4, guests enjoy breakfast in the dining cars until 9:30 am, and then the journey ends at Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria. Guests are reminded to ensure their luggage is ready for collection and to have their passport on hand.
