Key Requirements for South Africans for Malaysia:
Please be informed that South African passport holders may visit Malaysia for social/tourism/short business purposes without obtaining a visa prior to their departure. A visa will be given on arrival (VOA), and travellers are allowed to stay in Malaysia for a maximum stay of ninety (90) days.
Provided they are in possession of :- Valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months on the date of your arrival
- Confirmed return ticket/onward journey to the country of origin or any other destination (third country) within 90 days from the day of your arrival
- Confirmed hotel reservations/proof of accommodation during the intended period of stay in Malaysia
- Sufficient funds to finance stay in the form of cash/credit card/debit card/travellers cheque etc.
Please be informed that all travellers who wish to enter Malaysia must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within three days before entering Malaysia. Travellers can fill out the MDAC from the following website HERE . After submitting online, please download and print the paper confirmation letter of the MDAC from your email and give it to Malaysian immigration officers upon entry.
