Wachau Valley: Option 1
Melk Abbey
A guided visit to Melk Abbey, one of the world's great Baroque monuments — an active Benedictine monastery founded in 1089 and rebuilt between 1702 and 1746, perched dramatically above the Danube. The visit takes in the Marble Hall with its trompe-l'oeil ceiling fresco, the world-famous abbey library, and the gilded Baroque church beneath its 200-foot dome. Guests leave the ship at Spitz, transfer by coach to Melk, and rejoin the ship there once it arrives.

Wachau Valley: Option 2
Cruising the Wachau Valley
Stay aboard and take in one of the most unique and scenic sections of the entire Danube, as the ship cruises from Spitz to Melk through the heart of the Wachau Valley — vineyard-terraced hillsides, apricot orchards, and the castle ruins of Schönbühel and Aggstein passing right alongside. No program, no schedule — just time on deck to enjoy the river.
